We have built in wardrobes, how do we transport our clothes?
Thomas R. Callan provide portable wardrobes with rails. It couldn’t be simpler, just transfer you clothes into these, the cartons are sealed and loaded into the van. Just unload at the other end.
What about insurance of my household furnishings?
Thomas R Callan provide insurance cover of £25,000 per van for goods in transit. This level of cover is satisfactory for most removals but it can be easily upgraded to £50,000 or £75,000 on request. An insurance premium will only be charged on goods over £50,000 per van.
What do I do if we do not get our keys at midday?
Thomas R Callan will wait patiently until you receive your keys. This may incur extra charges. In the event you can’t gain access to your new home we can put your furnishings into our storage centre. Click for information on storage
Can you disconnect our washing machine?
Sorry, our removal men are not insured for any plumbing or electrical work. Most modern day plumbing is very easy – however you are better calling in a qualified tradesman. If your removal is local ie no more than 20 – 30 minutes, then Callans can put on your freezer last so that it comes off the van first. This will save you from defrosting. Please try to run down your frozen goods to reduce the weight. |
