
Our Fine Art and Antique Sale on the 23rd of May contains several fine collections of pictures by contemporary artists. In this third article we shall preview works by Sue Atkinson.
Born in 1949 prized artist sue Atkinson is the daughter of a Bradford wool merchant and attended Wakefield College of Art. Her work is exhibited widely including the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the New England Art Club.
Sue Atkinson’s paintings have a magical, naïve quality that appeals to a wide range of collectors and her quirky portraits and landscapes are in great demand. Whether she is working in oil or watercolour her work is packed with life and movement and her beach paintings are specially energetic and very much sought after.
