Our Fine Art and Antique Sale on the 23rd of May contains several fine collections of pictures by contemporary artists. In this second article we shall preview works by Nael Hanna.
Born in 1959 in Nineva, Northern Iraq, after serving in the army during the Iraq – Iran War, Nael was awarded a scholarship and entered Duncan of Jordanson College of Art Dundee in 1983. In 1987 Nael won a further scholarship to study at Hospitalfield summer school Arbroath and it was during his time that he developed his great passion for the East Coast of Scotland – inspired by the raw power of the elements and the dramatic scenery. Upon graduating with First Class Honours in 1989, Nael studied in Florence, having been awarded a Royal Scottish Academy scholarship, before returning to Dundee. He has exhibited world wide and at RDI RSA SSA and SSAC and with prominent galleries throughout the UK. His works are included within major public and private collections worldwide.
